The Advanced Manufacturing Engineer (AME) – Test Engineering SW is responsible for developing, validating, and industrializing automated manufacturing test solutions combining hardware and software competences. The role ensures robust production test coverage, equipment reliability, software scalability, and stable test architectures for new and existing products. 

What you can look forward to as an AME Engineer - Test engineering & SW (f/m/d):

• Develop, validate, and industrialize automated test systems (hardware and software) for new and existing products.
• Design, optimize, and support ICT, Flash, functional, and end‑of‑line test processes to ensure robust coverage and stability.
• Develop and maintain test software (C/C++, Python, TestStand…), ensuring modularity, traceability, and version control.
• Prepare specifications (RFQ), coordinate with suppliers, and support installation and commissioning in plants.
• Drive structured root‑cause analysis, test failure investigation, and continuous improvement of test performance.
• Collaborate with R&D to ensure Design for Testability and alignment of test architecture requirements.
• Standardize test methods, software modules, and equipment solutions across sites to improve scalability and cost efficiency.

Your profile as an AME Engineer - Test engineering & SW (f/m/d):

• Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
• 2+ years of professional experience in Manufacturing Test Engineering and/or Test Software Development (C/C++, Python, TestStand).
• Experience with test software architecture, equipment integration, instrumentation, and automation.
• Strong skills in root‑cause analysis, structured problem solving, and data‑driven decision making.
• Familiarity with software version control (Git), documentation standards.
• Effective communicator, structured working style, and willingness to work internationally (~20-25% travel).
• Fluency in English.
