This position is part of ZF’s ADAS & HPC business, which is entering an exciting new phase of growth and transformation within the advanced automotive technology space. The business unit is planned for divestiture, creating a unique opportunity to help shape the future of next-generation driver assistance and high-performance computing technologies.   

What you can look forward to as an ADAS Vehicle Simulation & Virtual Environment Engineer (f/m/d):

• Develop and maintain high‑fidelity vehicle and sensor simulation models to support ADAS/AD development and validation.
• Build automated simulation workflows to support large‑scale scenario execution and regression testing using precise and context-specific models.
• The team’s primary task is to generate synthetic data using artificial intelligence (Generative AI) for existing and future software-in-the-loop and hardware-in-the-loop test benches (SiL/HiL).
• Document simulation architectures, workflows, parameters, and best practices, and present findings to team members technical stakeholders.

Your profile as an ADAS Vehicle Simulation & Virtual Environment Engineer (f/m/d):

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with driver assistance systems or autonomous driving functions; at least 3 years of professional experience in the relevant field.
• Knowledge of artificial intelligence (large language models, neural network training, world foundation models, etc.) and sensor data (camera, LiDAR, radar, etc.).
• Experience in evaluating and integrating models in commercial and open‑source simulation tools (e.g., CARLA, IPG CarMaker or dSPACE).
• Fluent in English.
