Cost Accountant

About the team:

Part of the Finance team. Responsible for the process of costing in SAP, takes physical inventory of the annual and cyclical, explanation of variations of purchase, review the variations of manufacturing and counting of savings projects.

What you can look forward to as Cost Accountant:

• Analyze and review production costs, labor, and material expenses.
• Perform variance analysis and provide insights on cost-saving opportunities and conduct regular reviews of cost accounting procedures and recommend improvements.
• Maintain and update the cost accounting system to ensure accuracy in costing data, by preparing cost reports, forecasts, and financial statements related to inventory and production costs.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting process by providing cost data and analysis.
• Work closely with operations, procurement, and finance teams to ensure proper cost allocation and efficiency.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and financial regulations.
• Audit/perform cycle counts inventory and assist in calculation of inventory valuation and reserves.

Your Profile as Cost Accountant:

• Advanced 80% English (able to communicate in English via calls and emails)
• Degree in Accounting, Engineering, or Business Administration
• Minimum 3- 5 years of experience in cost accounting in the automotive industry in a multi-national manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in accounting and management software (SAP) or similar ERP, as well as advanced Excel skills, preferably PowerBI.
• Strong standard cost, inventory management, and cost analysis knowledge.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and teamwork skills. Ability to lead and coordinate activities across different areas.
