AM/DM - Commodity Buyer (Iron casting)

Job Description

Your Resposibility as AM Commodity buyer - Iron casting :

Develop and execute sourcing strategies for Iron Castings.
Lead commercial negotiations on pricing, tooling, logistics, and contracts.
Achieve annual cost reduction targets through strategic sourcing initiatives.
Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers.Drive supplier localization and dual-sourcing programs.
Manage supplier performance, capability development, and business continuity. Support new product development and engineering change activities.
Monitor supplier financial health, capacity, and operational risks. Drive continuous improvement initiatives across quality, cost, and delivery.

Your Profile as AM Commodity buyer - Iron casting

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related field; MBA preferred.
10–12 years of experience in Purchasing/Strategic Sourcing.
Experience sourcing castings for Commercial Vehicle and Off-Highway components such as Calipers, Crankcases, Axle Housings, Differential Housings, Wheel Hubs, Transmission Housings, and Transaxles.
Strong knowledge of Iron Casting manufacturing processes, machining, and metallurgy.
Expertise in cost analysis, should-costing, VA/VE, and TCO methodology.
Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and IATF 16949 requirements.
Proficient in SAP/ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
