About the Team

We are looking for a Senior Development Engineer under the department Supplier Development team of Corporate Materials Management. This position will be mainly responsible for new supplier approval, performing supplier-related activities surrounding process control, APQP, and quality launches for new or modified products, in order to support and fulfill the requirements of internal and external customers, all while ensuring local adherence to global quality objectives and corporate standards.

What you can look forward to as Sr Supplier Development Engineer?

• Conduct supplier approval audits as assigned within Asean region.
• Manages and coordinates supplier development activities by leading supplier audits, analyzing supplier performance and improvement plans.
• Provide and plan trainings on SDE and Supplier management related topics.
• If necessary support ZF Divisions and product lines with project management for supplier development measures to achieve maturity level of purchased parts while ensuring the project will be completed on time and the needed capacity is installed.
• Manages Supplier Quality by launching new programs and ensuring parts meet quality requirements, in addition to leading resolutions of problems in suppliers subsequent performance, by analyzing supplier quality performance, supports purchasing and cost reduction programs.
• Support ZF global organization for supplier development tasks upon request.
• Coach and train suppliers.

Your profile as Sr Supplier Development Engineer:

• 5 ~ 7 years in Automotive industry.
• Bachelor or above in Automotive/Mechanical/Material Engineering.
• Certified VDA6.3 and / or IATF16949 Auditor.Knowledge of manufacturing processes (especially in Al/Iron Casting, Machining, Stamping).
• Very good knowledge of GD&T, understanding of technical drawings.Good knowledge of material specification and testing standards.
• Familiar with quality system such as VDA 6.3 and IATF16949 and automotive core tools .
• Successful experience of supplier project management. Expert of quality management tools.Hands on experience with machining process is advantageous.
• Flexible for extensive travels.
• Fluent English in reading and writing.
