About the team:

ZF Customs Central is an internal organization within ZF, responsible for providing customs services to several ZF plants in both Mexico and the United States. These responsibilities include areas such as customs brokerage services for Mexico and the United States, managing the group's maquiladora entities in compliance with applicable regulations such as Annex 24 and Annex 30, leading government audit processes and providing the required responses in a timely manner, and more.

What you can look forward to as Customs Specialist:

• Lead audit processes conducted by Mexican or American authorities, including coordinating and acting as the main point of contact during the audit process, overseeing the audit itself, presenting relevant information to the authorities, and following up on any requirements to ensure timely and proper responses.
• Conduct internal audits of the various processes carried out within Central Customs (Customs Shared Services), verifying compliance with applicable regulations.
• Stay up to date with Mexican and American regulations, interpreting the scope and requirements of any changes, and ensuring that department processes comply with these updates.
• Maintain documentary records of audited processes, required corrective or improvement actions, and follow up to ensure their timely completion.
• Have a thorough understanding of all administrative processes within the department to effectively perform audit functions at a level comparable to that of government authorities.

Your Profile as Customs Specialist:

• Advanced knowledge of Mexican and U.S. customs regulations.
• 1-3 years of experience in the customs field.
• Strong administrative skills, including documentation, follow-up, task prioritization, and data analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills (e.g., Pivot Tables) and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Intermediate level of English.
