Come and join to the Passive Safety Systems Division, this position will be located at El Salvador which is a new plant for the Division.

 

Position Summary

Supervise the operations of the  Plant to meet and exceed customer requirements on time and with quality standards and cost targets. Establish policies and programs that guide the organization in improving and maintaining the company's competitive position and the profitability of the operation, setting and budgeting control and capital.                                                                                                                                      

                                                                                                            

Responsibilities

  • Disciplinary leadership of the production in the production unit (supervisors and teamleads)
  • Leading the Production Unit Management Team
  • Assure and ensure appropriate assets (manpower, equipment / infrastructure and materials) of the production unit are available and deployed to deliver the required and agreed operational performance.
  • Lead, manage, coach, mentor and develop production unit leadership with passion to ensure that a diverse result-orientated organization is in place and is cascaded throughout the production unit by empowerment, clear accountability and compliance according to the ZF Way.
  • Drive the organization in achieving operational performance/budgets, ensuring the achievement of Daily (SFM Process), Quarterly and Annual (OP/SP) production unit Targets of: Safety Performance, Quality Performance, Customer Delivery Performance, Production Volumes, Manufacturing Costs, Productivity, Working Capital, Profit, Cash (OPV, LTAR, ITR, PPP, OEE, FCP, ect ect…) and long-term business objectives. Vs. daily, quarterly and annual production unit target aligned with general plant SQCDP KPI’s
  • Drives and fosters an environment of continuous improvement, ensures that there is a long-term vision (plant level?) for the production unit supported by a detailed production unit roadmap following the “ZF PS Way” with a clear correlation between action and results.
  • Based on the ZF planning cycles, the production unit manager will produce an OP/SP and resource / infra-structure plan with their superior.
  • Ensure that customers internally and externally, product lines and other functions are fully understood and that reliable relationships are established and maintained to the mutual benefit of both parties.
  • Drives the new product launches & transfers with the Production Unit
  • Create EHS environment and sustainability within PU

                                                                                                            

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Lean Management, Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement
  • 5+ years solid working experience in Operations and relevant Functions
  • 2+ years leadership experience
  • Transformation competence and organizational development skills
  • Coaching and Mentoring Skills
  • Business / Finance Management Acumen
  • Results-oriented
