¡Come and join to the Passive Safety Systems Division as Warranty Technical Specialist – Quality PSS NA at Chihuahua Plant!
Responsibilities
- Assemble (and disassemble) products for customer warranty returns part analysis.
- Meet part analysis/testing timelines for customer portal update.
- Review and manage Customer Warranty invoices.
- Analyze, document and review warranty trends related to ZF products.
- Some travel may be required 10% domestic and 2% international.
- Facilitate weekly follow up meetings to monitor and analyse Warranty performance by customers assigned.
- Maintain constant communication with customers to obtain real-time “Voice of the customer” feedback.
- Provide onsite customer technical support for issues pertaining warranty parts reviews.
- Assist in failure analysis, troubleshooting, rework/repair of warranty returns product to determine root cause.
- Support and provide guidance to the ZF manufacturing plants on problem solving activities (8-D).
- Assist in technical factor negotiations with customers for the reduction or elimination of warranty claims.
- Set up and conduct tests and other special requests from customer and Product Engineering. Use of instrumentation and computers to control and monitor is required. Record and report result as needed.
- Develop a background of knowledge and understanding of Airbags, Steering wheels and seat belts product practices based on ongoing substantial training and acquired experience.

Required Skills & Experience
- Ability to perform all assigned tasks, work independently, and complete work on schedule.
- Ability to diagnose and root-cause technical and process issues.
- Ability to communicate with senior engineering, purchasing, quality and manufacturing staff.
- Travel required approximately 10 -20% within North America.
- Understanding basic interpretation and use problem solving tools & practices.
- Working knowledge of computer programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Bachelor’s degree (in engineering preferred).
