Supplier Development Engineer HoC Casting

Job description:

Implementation of the ZF supplier readiness process of new projects (Sourcing + APQP + Safe Launch)

• Risk Assessment:

Determination of risks regarding part design, supplier production processes, industrialization time and supplier capability

• Technical review:

Technical evaluation of the supplier processes, production concepts, quality and development capabilities, know-how and project milestones

• APQP including supplier process release and R@R by utilization of quality tools like MSA, FMEA, SPC, VDA6.3 audits, PPAP etc.
• Manage supplier development activities linked to escalations
• Assessment of new and development of existing released suppliers

Your profile:

• Completed degree in mechanical engineering, production technology, manufacturing technology, foundry technology or similar within automotive/business related industry
• Alternatively, technicians, masters with many years of professional experience in aluminum die casting including machining and follow-up processes
• Several years of experience in supplier management
• Proven experience in manufacturing casting and machining
• Solid knowledge in HPDC tool manufacturing
• Solid expertise in mold flow and solidification analysis and its evaluation
• Analytical technical approach as well as creative and innovative thinker
• Knowledge of methods for structured problem solving
• Experience in core quality tools like APQP, 8D/QR6S, FMEA, MSA, SPC, VDA6.3, PPAP
• High level of motivation and strong and reliable decision making-capabilities
• Teamwork and team building skills
• Fluent in the English language in word and writing
• High flexibility to travel
