Job Description

Lead and guide a team of NVH engineers working on Mechanical hardware testing domain. This team is responsible for acoustic testing, shaker testing of various products as per customer requirements, standard validations, NVH refinement of new product development, resolving customer complaints in vehicle application.

Main responsibilities: Lead and support NVH/ vibration fatigue issue investigation from issue definition to recommending potential solutions, from concept to launch and industrialization

Ability to perform complex NVH analysis , TPA, running modes, time-domain analysisQuantify and judge pass/fail criteria for vibro-acoustic issues

Working with system and component areas - investigate and resolve issues identified during development to support delivery of overall vehicle targets in collaboration with simulation & application team

Good knowledge in Simcentre Testlab / other NVH hardware and software

Frame Roadmap for technology development  -product and process.

NVH signal processing knowledge and analysis experience

Support/lead task force activities to solve complex engineering problem

Budget planning for capitalization projects and maintenance activities.

Headcount planning to balance workload and workforce.

Ensure effective utilization of resources (Hemi-anechoic chamber & vibration shakers)

Maintain safe work environment.

Interact with national and international Development Partners and Suppliers for project execution.

Regular interaction with global counterparts for acoustics & shaker testing related/ problem solving.

Experience:

Mechanical or Automotive engineering graduate/ Post-graduate with 9-12 years of experience in testing of automotive parts (preferably Post-graduate)

Knowledge in data acquisition, vibration shaker operations, signal processing, shaker test profiles

Knowledge of instrumentation and calibration.

Very good expertise in solving complex NVH engineering issues both component and vehicle level.

Knowledge in problem solving skills and systematic problem-solving approach.

Vehicle level NVH testing experience is preferrable.

Experience with CAE simulation/MATLAB/Simulink/Sim Centre AMESIM is added advantage.
