Production Line Operator

Short Description

Position Title:  Line Operator
Legal Entity : ZF Light Vehicles
Location:  Oragadam, Chennai 
Reports To:  Production Manager 

Role Description: 

Operator is a position in charge of ensuring the right product is built right first time and delivering only quality products on time.

Major Responsibilities:

• According to position operation and process requirement, Produce good products on time. (Meeting Process defined quality parameters)
• Do maintenance with TPM.
• Acknowledge and do 5S, HSE in work area.
• Do first sample check sheet in every shift.
• Abnormal feedback, including machine down, material defect and shortage, product quality and safety issues.
• Take part in the activities which improve the production efficiency, quality, and production cost etc.
• Keen to get trained & learning new products & able to work in shifts.
• Follow company HSE rules and report unsafe hazards or issues to HSE in time.
• Able to monitor inventory levels & timely reporting for Updation of inventory records.
• Basic Computer Knowledge to maintain Production / Inventory Logs.
• Others tasked assigned by supervisor.

Key Competencies:

• Able to complete the assignments on time arranged by immediate supervisor.
• Able to use electrical & mechanical equipment and measurement instrument.
• Basic knowledge and skills on quality and safety.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

Education and Experience:

• Educational: Diploma in Mechanical / DME
• Experience: 0-2 Years of experience 
• Flexible to work in Shifts
• Flexible to work 6 days in a week
