Job Purpose :

This position is responsible for planning, localization, development and implementation of overall and specific strategic manufacturing processes for Div A, to ensure achievement of the business plan. It also provides portfolio interface between Manufacturing Operations and other company functions.

Your Tasks:

% of Time

1) Research & develop “Division A” manufacturing processes, including localization of existing and new assets & standards with India specific requirements.

Examples/Comments

- Provide expert advice to senior management & to Global Portfolio on best practice of manufacturing methods, capacity utilization & footprint required to achieve business objectives.
- Manage the manufacturing capacity allocation & footprint of the India’s entire facilities, including utilization of sub-contract sources.
- Work with sites & external sources to develop the most economic, lean, productive & reliable manufacturing facilities.
- Drive Global process standardization within India requirements / framework.
- Manage startup of transferred equipment and Indian suppliers for new equipment.

2) Manage Portfolio Capital Expenditure and CEAs

- Manage the portfolio’s 5 year capex plan.
- The AME Manager’s approval is required for the Portfolio’s Capital Expenditure Authorizations. CEA requests are analyzed by AME to ensure manufacturing expenditure is in line with the business’s requirements & strategies.

3) Support the new business analysis bid/quote/award process

Examples/Comments

- Manage & provide the manufacturing proposals required for the new business bid/quote/award CQA process, supporting & advising Sales and ensuring appropriate use of assets with compliance to the organization’s strategic goals.
- Coordination of the manufacturing solutions of the Global quotes.

4) New Programme Implementation

- Analyze the manufacturing requirements for new programs implementation. Arrange & allocate manufacturing support.
- Provide & coordinate core manufacturing assistance for program issues.
- Supervise the DFM and DFA focusing on the process standardization and manufacturing costs from Local and Global point of view.
- Assist in operator development and industrialization of new processes.

5) New Product Development and VAVE projects

- Lead & participate in various multi-functional teams for product, cost, operational & process improvements
- Work with Product Engineering to provide Simultaneous Engineering of new products
- Work with VMT and Purchasing on product cost improvements

Minimum –

Practical knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
Experience working on international projects, including multi-functional, multi-cultural teams
Project Management related experience
Business practice
Financial and commercial experience

Preferred -

Multi-site & international experience
Product knowledge
Manufacturing knowledge of automated processes
High level of lean manufacturing principles
Knowledge of Quality Systems
