Position Responsibilities
- Serve as the initial point of contact for troubleshooting machine breakdowns or process issues.
- Notify the technical team of any machine or part issues promptly.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities as assigned.
- Assist with machine setup and changeovers to ensure optimal performance.
- Lead station adjustments and alignments to maintain production standards.
- Oversee tooling/fixture changes and verify quality post-adjustments, focusing on improving First Pass Yield (FPY).
- Conduct process parameter checks and maintain to ensure consistent process performance.
- Support Engineering during new trials and part capability verifications.
- Provide support for all manufacturing activities and maintenance tasks as needed.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement programs by submitting suggestions and implementing resolutions.
- Focus on enhancing safety, quality, and production through continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support and attend Shop Floor Management (SFM) meetings to stay aligned with team goals and updates.
- Comply with all IATF - 16949 policies and procedures to maintain high standards of quality and safety.
- Work extended or flexible hours as required to cover gaps in technical and leadership positions.
- Help drive Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) improvements by escalating issues for timely resolution and continuous enhancement of production efficiency.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall success of the team and organization.
Skills and Experience
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Proven problem-solving skills.
- Proven interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience in machining components.
- Basic math and reading skills.
- Ability to use standard shop measurement tools.
- Familiarity with engineering assembly and component drawings.
- Ability to work flexible hours for production, development, and training needs.
- Previous manufacturing experience, basic mechanical experience, or basic maintenance knowledge.
- English language competency.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 2-5+ years of related experience
- Ability to read blueprints, print drawings, tooling/fixture drawings, etc.
- Previous experience with tool setting and tool repair.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Work, Outlook, etc.)
