ZF CV Systems North America LLC has a job opening for the position of Quality Engineer III based out of its location in North Charleston, SC.

Job Duties:  Responsible for developing and implementing quality processes in the manufacturing plant, including designing quality control systems and supporting the IATF certification process. Manage Quality Management Systems, certifications, and audits, ensuring compliance with industry standards. Oversee the PPAP process, ensuring parts meet customer specifications before production. Handle customer complaints and nonconforming materials by investigating issues, determining root causes, and implementing corrective actions. Respond to NCMRs and SCARs with timely feedback. Provide quality system training to new hires and manage process and product audits. Initiate corrective actions for complaints and nonconforming returns and follow up on PPM and Incident Rate targets. Support project teams in APQP activities for new launches, ensuring quality requirements are met. Develop and audit suppliers, ensuring they meet quality standards. Communicate with suppliers for timely responses to RMAs and corrective actions. Review supplier defects and make final dispositions. Monitor supplier APQP activities and direct tasks as needed. Troubleshoot production line issues, working with production teams to resolve quality problems and implement corrective actions.

Requirements:  Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a closely related technical field, plus 3 years of experience as a Quality Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Process Engineer, Production Engineer, or Supplier Quality Engineer, and demonstrated experience with: Handling assembly or machining operations; Utilizing AIAG Core Tools (PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan and SPC); Problem solving tools including Ishikawa diagram, 8D reports, or 5 Why Analysis; Interpreting Blue Prints and GD&T knowledge; Analytical tools such as Minitab; Analyzing statistical data, controlling quality processes, and applying Statistical Process Control (SPC) techniques; Applying Value Stream Design, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methods; Working with IATF16949 and ISO9001 requirements; and Must possess Six Sigma Green Belt certification; In lieu of the above-stated education and experience requirements, we will accept a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related technical field, and 1 year of experience as a Quality Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Process Engineer, Production Engineer, or Supplier Quality Engineer, and demonstrated experience with the aforementioned skills/technologies/tools.
