ZF North Charleston has an exciting opportunity as Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our Team! Our North Charleston, SC location represents the Commercial Vehicle Division of ZF.  Commercial Vehicle solutions provide the capability to shape the future of commercial transportation systems. Position Responsibilities:

• General maintenance and troubleshooting of building systems including HVAC, Air Compressors, dock levelers, doors, plumbing, and the general office area
• Support operations by facilitating the management and movement of chemicals through the building via powered industrial vehicle
• Maintain and manage chemical storage area and spill kits
• Complete and document regular inspections throughout the facility to include fire extinguishers, SPCC, spill kits and chemical inventory
• Work with hand and power tools to complete tasks as assigned including general maintenance, installing fixtures, or troubleshooting systems (air, water, electrical)
• Full compliance with Lockout/Tagout requirements during service or maintenance
• Liaison between facility service suppliers and ZF North Charleston to include issuing and managing Purchase Orders
• Managing preventative maintenance schedules for facilities related equipment
• Ability to perform elevated work to include roof access as well as use of scissor lift
• Effectively manage scrap material collection areas by partnering with suppliers for timely removal
• Other relevant duties as assigned

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Previous manufacturing experience.
• Basic English language competency.
• Ability to work in fast paced team-oriented environment.

Preferred Skills and experience:

• Previous experience operating powered industrial vehicles.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office System and of SAP.
• High School Diploma/GED.
