Technical Project Manager (m/f/d)

About the team:

We are looking for a Technical Project Manager to join the Mechatronics Projects Team. As a key member of the team, you will support the Engineering Project Manager (EPM) to ensure that our projects are effectively defined, planned and executed. You will work closely with the Engineering Project Manager and senior management to provide clear communication, status and process to ensure control and timely delivery of our projects.
You will support several key internal projects required to develop the next generation of ZF steering products.
The role is to project manage the engineering requirements capture, mechatronic design, integration and verification for electric steering motors. The role will employ client business processes to deliver a product that complies with the timing, budget, safety, performance and SPICE requirements, and will coordinate between the system level application teams, the program management functions and the design engineers.

• Create project definitions and schedules,
• Capture updates and drive project to the work breakdown structure & detailed project schedule,
• Provide regular metrics & reports describing the status of the project on a range of engineering deliverables,
• Manage change within the project, including design changes,
• Drive the issue resolution process and ensure effective prioritization,
• Maintain the project Risk Register including plans for mitigation,
• Support planning & monitoring of the project budget for headcount, materials & purchased services,
• Support bid and quote activities.

Your profile as Technical Project Manager:

• Automotive experience or very similar, experience of technical lead and/or project management of multi-disciplinary engineering projects,
• Degree in a relevant engineering discipline,
• Excellent communication & leadership skills, demonstrated ability to work proactively,
• Rigorous and positive approach. Flexibility to adapt in an exciting fast paced working environment,
• Determination to complete tasks and follow process.
• Nice to have: experience of working in an automotive OEM or supplier, familiarity with electric drive systems and motor control, good knowledge of ISO26262 standards and auto SPICE, PTC Integrity credentials / experience, Windchill credentials / experience.
