About the Team

As a Lead Mechanical Engineer (LME), you will manage the development of mechanical products for Electric Powered Steering (EPS) systems. You will collaborate with customer teams to ensure program deliverables are met and the mechanical design is completed to specifications and requirements. Your role includes coordinating engineering changes, supporting product testing, and resolving mechanical issues to ensure quality and performance.

Job Description

What you can look forward to as Lead Mechanical Engineer:

  • Product Management to ensure product definitions align with customer and internal environments and requirements;
  • Coordinate engineering activities, changes/design releases and deviations with the mechanical engineering team;
  • Write engineering changes, DRBFM’s (risk analysis) and supporting documentation;
  • Performing basic engineering calculations and data analysis, interpretations of data and taking decisions based on results.
  • Support application project with mechanical design and product performance (assembly, friction, NVH);
  • Represent the Product Development function to customers, translating and cascading their requirements internally;
  • Support product testing and mechanical testing procedures and tear down/analysis of mechanical components;
  • Support manufacturing and resolution of mechanical assembly issues for robustness, quality and performance;

 

Your Profile as Lead Mechanical Engineer:

  • Higher technical education, preferred fields: Mechanics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or related;
  • At least 5 years of experience in automotive;
  • Proficiency in technical drawing and experience in a similar position/project development;
  • Familiarity with automotive industry standards is a plus;
  • Very good English skills, both spoken and written;
  • Strong collaboration skills with teams worldwide;
  • Ability to handle stress effectively.
