This is an entry-level position - perfect if you’re a recent graduate in electrical, electronic, or mechatronic engineering, or have up to 2 years of experience and want to start your career in a global automotive company.

 

What you can look forward to as Junior Engineer - Smart Components & Sensors:

  • Driving key technology, design, supplier, tool and process synergies across Product Lines (front/rear steering, braking, chassis);
  • Collaborating closely with suppliers through regular meetings and technical discussions to evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities for product enhancement and innovation;
  • Developing common knowledge databases (lesson learned, supplier database, etc.);
  • Working in cross-functional teams or activities to ensure alignment and integration of product development strategies;
  • Conducting market research to identify trends and opportunities for innovation;
  • Filing Tool process User support & managing interface to service provider as well as maintaining process documentation

 

Your Profile as Junior Engineer - Smart Components & Sensors:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent engineering qualification, preferably in electrical/electronic engineering or mechatronic systems (students in final year also welcome to apply).
  • Professional Experience: Some experience in engineering (e.g., internships, student projects), ideally in the automotive industry and related to E/E (electrical/electronic) design and manufacturing technologies.
  • English Proficiency: Good command of English, both spoken and written, to communicate effectively in an international environment.
  • Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of mechanical engineering principles and motivation to further develop in this area.
  • Tools & Systems:
    • Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems is a plus.
    • Interest in automotive sensor technologies and basic knowledge of electronics design and communication protocols (e.g., SAE J2716) would be beneficial.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Analytical mindset and willingness to learn structured problem-solving methods (e.g., 8D, 5Why).
  • Requirements Management: Exposure to tools like IBM DOORS is an advantage, but not required – training will be provided.
  • Soft Skills: Good communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive attitude and interest in working in cross-functional, project-based environment
