FEA Simulation Engineer

About the Team

Enroll in ZF as a Simulation Engineer and be at the forefront of developing and implementing advanced simulation models to optimize our engineering processes for automotive steering products. You will be located in a new and motivated environment in a technical center in Bielsko-Biala. Your daily tasks will involve creating detailed simulations, analyzing performance data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance product design and efficiency. You will utilize cutting-edge software and tools to simulate real-world scenarios, providing critical insights that drive innovation and improve overall system performance.

What you can look forward to as FEA Simulation Engineer (m/f/d):

• Management, coordination and execution of complex technical calculations and simulations with regards to Steering Products (Finite Element Analyses, Multi Body);
• Development of new simulation methods and analyses procedures;
• Product development support with technical simulations;
• Structural analyses in regard to performance and fatigue;
• Assessment of strength and fatigue according Engineering Standards (DIN, VDI guidelines, FKM guideline,...);
• Support customer application projects with simulation approaches;
• Functional and organizational collaboration with internal and external customers and resources;
• Analyses, documentation and presentation of results as well compilation of reports and specifications.

Your Profile as FEA Simulation Engineer (m/f/d):

• Master and/or Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering, Applied Physics or Mechatronics;
• Profound knowledge in Structural Mechanics;
• Advanced experience in finite element calculation (additional multi body simulation will be beneficial), preferably in simulation tools: ABAQUS, ANSYS;
• Advanced experiences in analytical and numerical simulation approaches in general;
• Analytical and structured working behavior;
• Experiences in project management in local, national and international project teams;
• Self responsible and independent working skills for new concepts and implementation of these;
• Required languages: English (fluent) (additional German will be beneficial).
