We are looking for a new colleague in the Innovation Lab at our location in Bern, Switzerland.  

About the Team:
Join our small, agile & dynamic innovation team in Bern, nestled amidst the breathtaking Alps, where you'll collaborate with an international ensemble of Dutch, Italian, and German innovators to shape the future of commercial vehicles.

What you can look forward to as AI Innovation Engineer (m/f/d):

• Anticipate, gather, consolidate and evaluate technology trends in the automotive, broader (commercial) transportation & new technology fields (ACE & beyond) that yield competitive advantage in Advanced Analytics and AI. Maintain a trend radar on this topic.
• Work together with the innovation teams to support each phase of development, user validation process and propose solutions (products and/or services) that might lie between organizational borders. While doing, co-ordinate and execute PoC (Proof of Concept) activities for collaboration between departments, start-ups. 
• Work with business and technical leadership to set strategic priorities and scope. Maintain regular communication with internal stakeholders to understand, define and maintain a (‘live’) technology, market needs & interests mandate.
• Acts as a catalyst to implement the design thinking and open innovation methods and tools in the team and company that support ZF Group‘s vision.
• Cultivate external network of accelerator programs, research institutes and other strategic partners and Act as technical ‘sparring partner’ & advisor to your internal network: team leader, Innovation Director, Technology and Innovation Officer, Global Innovation Domain Managers, Global R&D & Business Leaders.

Your Profile as AI Innovation Engineer (m/f/d):

• Bachelor’s degree or above majored in mechanical, electronic, automotive, aerospace, information/computer science, robotics or similar.
• Experience in Advanced Analytics and AI (e.g. application of machine learning, neural networks, and NLP) with additional knowledge of Design Thinking, Design of Experiments & Proactive Problem-Solving Methodology.
• Proven team player with international mindset. Highly self-motivated and self-managed individual, not afraid to do the heavy lifting.
• Fluent English skills, both written and verbal are compulsory; a 2nd/3rd language (e.g. German) would be advantageous.
