PLC Controls Engineer

We are looking for a new colleague PLC Control Engineer for our product line Chassis Systems for our Division Car Chassis Technology at our location of Beijing.
Your tasks:

Main Responsibilities: Realize programming, technical support and improvement of PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) programs and the production IT hardware to guarantee a smooth production flow. Recommend, architect and develop PLC (programmable logic controllers) solutions to meet business needs as it relates to manufacturing / assembly operations on the shop floor.

Develop new strategies within automation as well as hardware & software for control systems.

Program automation and controls systems involving PLCs.

Implement standard engineering practices and provide detailed documentation upon project completion.

Provide day-to-day support for shop floor PLCs and related hardware, software, and applications.

Respond to the needs and questions of shop floor users as regards their access and use of shop-floor PLC applications, application issues, and training needs.

Be a proactive member of the global PLC team by participating actively in projects, process improvement opportunities, training, and other value added activities.

Make positive contributions to the vision and strategy of the global Product Line PLC organization.

Remain abreast of changes in the user / system software and hardware requirements.

Train end-users and maintain proper documentation with PLCs as well as other related shop-floor applications.

Understand and comply with QS-9000 and ISO-14000 requirements.
Your profile:
-
Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Computer Engineering.

Min. 3 years of work related experience or secondary education.

Proven experience in PLC logic and programming, beneficially with Siemens TIA Portal and additionally knowledge in C# or C++.

Ability to read, comprehend and interpret P&IDs, technical specifications, mechanical design document and software requirement documents including electrical drawings.

Ability to create and read logic as well as flow diagrams for program design, programming, simulation/testing, and start-up.
-
Good communication and problem solving skills.

Fluent English.
