Commodity Buyer of Electromechanics

About the Team

We are looking for a new colleague in Purchasig Team at our location in Beijing.

What you can look forward to as Commodity Buyer:

• Active participation to develop global part family strategies to match with I-Division needs, driving supplier strategies, supplier evaluations and –development.
• Support of advanced development processes and to ensure an Early-Supplier-Involvement approach.
• Conducting supplier selection process, including RFQ, quotation analysis and until final awarding
• Planning and conducting of cost reduction activities and workshops with suppliers
• Leading negotiations within a defined scope of decision making.
• Global responsibility as Lead-Buyer for defined suppliers
• Execute operational daily business.

Your Profile as Commodity Buyer:

• University degree in engineering background or alternatively with 5-7 years professional experience in the area of purchasing, project management or similar
• Profound in purchasing processes in combination with strong negotiation skills and confident appearance
• Experience in strategic sourcing, budgeting, cost analysis, negotiation and contract management
• Experience in Commodity Purchasing, especially Electromechanics systems (Built-to-spec/Built-to-print) with main commodities: Connection Systems, Wire harnesses, Transmission Gear Shifters, E-Motors, Sensors (Pressure, Temperature, Oil-Level, Speed, etc.)
• Business fluent English. German language would be added advantage
• Efficient and effective communication skills, ability to work in global and cross functional teams
• Independent way of working, strong analytical skills and mobility to go on regular business trips
• Good knowledge in Microsoft 365 tools (PPT, PowerBI, Excel Analysis), SAP ERP
• Creative mindset with a CAN-DO attitude who takes initiatives and is dedicated to realizing the set goals
• Location Beijing or Guangzhou, China
