We are expanding our Aftermarket BI and Advanced Analytics IT Team at the ZF Barcelona location.

This role will work closely with divisional data scientists at the same location. We are seeking an experienced data engineer who can leverage established technologies and architectures to deliver much needed data solutions/products.  The ideal candidate will have experience building services or products and a firm understanding of the complete stack of data management toolsets.

Your responsibilities as Senior Data Engineer (m/f/d):

• Advising the Aftermarket division regarding the optimization of Aftermarket financial, commercial, and operational business processes via IT implementations
• Developing ideas in the areas of data marketplace, data science, data analytics, AI and machine learning in coordination with other departments; creating scalable Analytics and Artificial Intelligence solutions using complex data pipelines
• Conception, implementation and rollout of IT applications and data products, creation of IT architecture concepts and merging of division-wide applications as part of the integration of mergers & acquisitions
• Management and control of divisional IT projects in a global environment
• Professional management of colleagues for the technical implementation of IT concepts and their control with suitable project management methods

Your qualifications as a Senior Data Engineer (m/f/d):

• Successfully completed studies in computer science / business informatics or comparable, with fundamental knowledge of data warehousing, data science, big data) analytics and AI technologies, processes, and procedure models
• 3+ years of experience in data warehousing, data science, (big data) analytics, statistics, artificial intelligence, application development, machine learning and other related statistical and/or artificial intelligence methods (e.g. Deep Learning, NLP, Reinforcement Learning, Neural Networks)
• Profound knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R including associated data & analytics frameworks/libraries and analytics tools and technology, particularly Microsoft Azure, MS Synapse, Databricks, MS Power BI, M-Query, Apache Spark, MS ADF, KNIME and MS SQL (SAP Analytics also beneficial)
• Engineering knowledge of developing batch (and API-driven) integrations to transfer data in bulk between enterprise applications, on-prem and cloud-based.
• Passion for data, constant learning and applying your skills and new technology to bring value to our business partners; familiarity with agile software development, highly motivated with an open personality, strong interpersonal and analytic skills, and systematic working methods
