About the Team:
We are looking for a new colleague in the Braking Systems Team as a resident engineer at customer location in Tokyo.

The Commercial Vehicle Solutions division of ZF CV Solutions Japan offers solutions for electronically controlled brake systems such as ABS and EBS and advanced vehicle safety systems such as ESC and electronically controlled air suspension control and air management system for CV OEMs.

What you can look forward as Application Engineer:

• Support customer project as a resident engineer at customer site
• Application engineering for Brake system projects for commercial vehicles.
• Providing technical support and expertise to the customer in design and testing area.
• Collaborate with the core development team and relevant team to fix the requirement and specifications.
• Support Quality team in engineering area for better solution in claim handling. 

Your profile as Application Engineer:

• Bachelor’s degree in science and engineering or equivalent.
• 2-3 years of experience in an Engineering position in automotive industry preferred. (experience in developing vehicle braking system is more preferred)
• Business level of Japanese and English (Oral and Written Communication)
• Awareness or knowledge of automotive cyber security UN-R155, software update management UN-R156 and Functional Safety ISO26262 preferred.
• Computer literacy in basic PC based office software. Able to learn and use product specific software tools and Data Management software.
• Willingness to acquire technical knowledge on advanced brake systems, mechanisms, and products.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes, including production, prototype & testing lab capabilities.
• Active communication with corporate product development team and APAC engineering team by e-mail and on the phone.
• Interpersonal skills to be able to work with all others (beyond the regions) that may be included on the project to ensure it works properly.
• Problem-solving skills are important to ensure any issues that arise during the design phase and testing processes are fixed.
• Ability to travel, as required.
