VAT Specialist (f/m/d)

We are looking for a new colleague in the Group Tax department at our location in Amsterdam.

About the Team:

As ZF’s global tax function we support and facilitate ZF’s global business operations by providing tax expertise for ongoing and planned business, as well as tax planning, structuring, support in corporate re-organizations and M&A, local tax audit support.

What you can look forward to as VAT Specialist (f/m/d):

• Support VAT return preparation process in EU region
• Manage and secure timely foreign VAT cash refund in Europe
• Provide guidance on critical indirect tax questions including technical trainings to ESSC and Finance
• Support VAT audits in EMEA jurisdictions
• Monitor VAT legislative developments in EMEA region, assess business impact and initiate / manage respective implementations
• Support & assist with VAT-related workflows in overarching transformation projects

Your profile as VAT Specialist (f/m/d):

• Ideally 4+ years experience in VAT matters, either at Big 4 Advisory or in-house at large global headquarter MNE, very strong technical skills and good understanding of IT
• University degree in law and/ or economics; certified tax advisor; “Diplom Finanzwirt”; postgraduate degree in international tax is a plus
• Business understanding and strong business orientation (cross-functional focus, customer centricity, solution-oriented)
• Self-reliant and initiative taking; entrepreneurial mindset; assertiveness and team player
• Excellent oral and written skills in the English language, German is a plus
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to occasionally go on business travel
