Senior Accountant (m/f/d) Local Finance

We are looking for a Senior Accountant (m/f/d) in our Local Finance team at our location in Amsterdam.

What you can look forward to as Senior Accountant (m/f/d) Local Finance:

  • Manage operational accounting activities for seven Dutch holding entities, including key group companies managing €16 billion in assets and group financing activities
  • Coordinate and execute month-end closing processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Prepare and submit IFRS reporting in line with group and divisional requirements and deadlines
  • Support statutory, legal, and regulatory reporting under Dutch GAAP, including submissions to external authorities
  • Maintain and optimize accounting master data and processes within SAP.
  • Ensure compliance with the Internal Control System (ICS) through control execution, monitoring, and evidence reporting
  • Review VAT declarations and filings while supporting external audits and financial statement reviews
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Treasury, Tax, Controlling, and HR, while supporting planning, forecasting, and management reporting activities

 

Your profile as Accountant (m/f/d) Local Finance:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Controlling or a similar field
  • Several years of work experience in Accounting, Tax and/or Controlling
  • Strong knowledge in IFRS
  • Experience in local GAAP (Netherlands) is preferred
  • Fluent Dutch and English language skills, oral and written. German would be a plus
  • Strong analytic and communication skills and an independent way of work in a quickly changing environment
