Strategic Buyer - IT Procurement - multiple locations

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced NPM IT Buyer to join our IT procurement team. As a Strategic Buyer, you will be responsible for management of commercial and contractual aspects within the IT spend category. A key part of the role includes developing and maintaining successful relationships with suppliers, peers, and internal business partners.

Your Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end commercial and procurement aspects across IT categories like Hardware, Software, Services, Cloud, and Software-as-a-Service.
• Ensure proper spend categorization and adherence to sourcing processes and policies.
• Lead and execute strategic/tactical projects, selecting appropriate sourcing approaches and concluding framework as well as individual contracts.

• Manage relationships with senior stakeholders and provide guidance on procurement processes and risks.
• Ensure full Procure-to-Contract compliance and independently execute RFP/RFQ processes for assigned categories.
• Define and implement plans aligned with category strategy and leverage procurement/sourcing tools.
• Conduct periodic market research for assigned category and consolidate supplier base for cost-effective and quality services.
• Establish regular communications with key internal business partners to adopt category strategies, conduct contract reviews, and ensure strong client service.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or a technical study (e.g., Engineering, IT).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement or technology field (e.g., IT, Research & Development, Engineering).
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and story-telling skills to achieve cost savings and presenting convincing results to internal stakeholders.

• Proactive and motivated team player capable of managing multiple international projects simultaneously.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills for negotiation, contract review, and project-related communications.
• Proficiency in MS Office tools, with a fast-learning ability for new technologies and industry trends.
• Thorough understanding of end-to-end Source/Procure-to-Pay processes and electronic procurement/sourcing tools (e.g., SAP, Ariba, Ivalua, PeopleSoft).
• Demonstrated ability to work within strong compliance and regulatory policies, driving risk management.
