Braking Hardware Architect

By joining the ZF Braking Team as a hardware architect you will be an integral part of a multinational team responsible for designing world leading solutions in braking systems. We are looking for candidates that can think “outside the box”, capable of abstracting complex hardware electronic systems with excellent communications skills

 

Your Tasks:

•    Responsible for electronic architecture developed for Braking ECUs
•    Analysis and refinement of product- and customer requirements for the electronics to enable definition of functions and interfaces 
•    Definition of design requirements, which are used as input for the detailed electronic design
•    Definition and documentation of hardware / software interfaces
•    Utilization of model-based system architecture techniques (e.g. UML/SysML) to define state of the art architectures
•    Support of functional safety analysis (ISO 26262) to evaluate and improve the electronic architecture

 

Your Profile:

•    Minimum a bachelor's Degree in Electrical/ Electronics/ Mechatronics Engineering or related
•    Robust functional/product knowledge in relevant hardware or system development positions 
•    Capability to define requirements on an architecture level (non-component level) to facilitate detailed design
•    Experience of standardized model languages (e.g. UML/ SysML) preferred
•    Project and planning abilities, strong problem solving and analytical skills
•    Strong drive for teamwork with a customer-oriented approach to projects
•    Good English language competency - both oral and written, German language competencies beneficial
