This position is part of ZF’s ADAS & HPC business, which is entering an exciting new phase of growth and transformation within the advanced automotive technology space. The business unit is planned for divestiture, creating a unique opportunity to help shape the future of next-generation driver assistance and high-performance computing technologies.

What you can look forward to as an Algorithm Engineer (f/m/d):

• Develop and improve ADAS algorithms for high-integrity automotive software systems.
• Take ownership of technical topics from investigation and concept to implementation and validation.
• Analyze problems from both detailed engineering and system-level perspectives.
• Work with requirements, design documentation and verification evidence in an ASPICE-oriented environment.
• Collaborate with software, validation, systems and project teams on robust technical solutions.
• Improve engineering efficiency through automation, tooling, CI/CD and continuous improvement.

Your profile as an Algorithm Engineer (f/m/d):

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Electronics or Mechatronics field.
• At least two years of work experience in embedded software or high-integrity software systems.
• Solid software engineering fundamentals, including clean code, version control, debugging, testing and responsible use of AI-assisted development tools.
• Practical knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink and C language.
• Analytical and system thinking, with the ability to structure complex and ambiguous technical problems.
• Ability to quickly learn new domains, tools and technology stacks.
• Knowledge of ISO 26262 or functional safety is an advantage.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
