¡Come and join to the Passive Safety Systems Division as Project Manager II at La Laguna SBS Plant!

 

Responsibilities

  • Leads a cross functional SBS-Team and provide functional and project related direction. Manages project team performance, supports their activities through supportive leadership and manages day to day under limited supervision.
  • Ensures successful launches of programs in terms of timing and quality and commercial success. Responsible to meet financial KPI under given budget and in time.
  • Deepens relationship and ensure an effective co-operation of regional PMs with global OEM customers as well as all Internal Stakeholders of the SBS Product Line (Operations-, Engineering- and Purchasing-, Quality-, Logistic- and Sales-Team).
  • Enhance Program Management capabilities (knowledge, methods, tools, and people) regional in Mexico and align with global PM team members on product- and process-changes and their implementation strategies and define, improve, and implement PM tools and reporting standards and communicate them to the team.
  • Professionally supports and fast tracks communication between with regional operations team and customer to strengthen further SBS in NA and regional in Mexico. 
     

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering sciences/ engineering technology or business management required.
  • 6+ years of advanced experience in the automotive industry, primarily in Program/Project or Launch Management functions with strong Engineering or Quality background.
  • 3+ years of experience in management of a team or group of people and exhibit proven leadership capabilities with strong teamwork, cooperation, and relationship building skills while developing others.
  • Must have profound product and working knowledge – especially in the own SBS Product Line of ZF and extensive experience in Engnieering Change Systems. Further expert levels in design fundamentals, APQP processes, PPAP/ PSO processes, solid understanding of manufacturing knowledge, and financial management basics (capex and non-recurring cost mgt.) are required and ample previous launch experience, either with OEM or supplier in the automotive industry.
  • Understanding of Program Management principles, tools, and techniques; knowledge of PM concepts and terminology. Knowledge of and experience in risk management.
  • Ability to manage in an international multi-cultural environment and demonstrate high level of interpersonal communication skills with the ability to impact and influence others through self-control, self-confidence, agility and flexibility as coach and role model. 
  • Strategic and analytical thinking and ability to develop strategy for area of responsibility. 
  • English proficiency required.
