About the team:

We are looking for a new colleague in the Tax department at our location in Amsterdam. As ZF’s global tax function we support and facilitate ZF’s global business operations by providing required tax expertise for ongoing and planned business models as well as providing the required tax compliance infrastructure to successfully operate the local business operations. Furthermore we are supporting the implementation of standardized and automated tax activities and processes as well as maintaining and continuously enhancing ZF’s Tax Control Framework. Finally, our team is committed to drive effective tax processes and efficient tax planning to support ZFs overall competitiveness.

 

What you can look forward to as Senior International Tax Specialist (m/f/d):

  • Develop concepts to optimize the tax position of group companies and lead implementation in cross-functional teams
  • Provide tax technical support and project management in all corporate tax areas including international tax and withholding tax questions, as well as transfer pricing, preferably with a focus on German (international) tax law, especially German CFC rules (AStG)
  • Participation in corporate reorganizations and M&A projects, including Tax Due Diligences, contract negotiations for asset and share deals, Joint Venture establishments etc.
  • Support management of group subsidiaries/ Dutch holding companies and/ or local tax teams in tax procedures, such as tax audits and litigation
  • Review of tax reporting and tax returns of our Dutch Holding companies and other group subsidiaries
  • Monitor changes in tax legislation in the relevant countries and internationally and develop suitable reactions to those changes
     

Your profile as Senior International Tax Specialist (m/f/d):

  • University degree in Law and/ or Economics; certified tax advisor; “Diplom-Finanzwirt”; postgraduate degree in international tax a plus
  • Ideally 3-5 years experience in an international tax role with an international advisory firm, multinational company or the tax administration; university graduates with outstanding results will be considered to be developed into the role
  • Excellent knowledge of international taxation principles and at least one domestic tax system, preferably German tax law
  • Self-reliant and initiative taking; entrepreneurial mindset; assertiveness and team player
  • Excellent oral and written skills in the English language and German 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to occasionally go on business travel
